Actually I do have a something like a header.  It is a modified tuner and my exhaust does not come out the prop like most outboards.  Mine comes out the mid section.  That is why it is loud.  I know you could probally care less but that is free information.

I have heard of top water exhaust, never was sure where it came out, but you could definitely hear it comin. Couple guys around here have it on their Hydrostreams....

They are loud but they are not a cool rumble like a big block.  Mine is more like a scream at high rpm's.
