That's what I would do then . If you get everything arranged ahead of time you can probably have the boat back on the trailer in a few days .

I have actually considered putting a small ramp on my pond at the house so I could foat boats off of the trailer to run them or work on the trailers . The pond is not big enough to drive a boat in though , it's just under a half acre , so I have never bothered with the ramp .

That would probably come in handy as hell. There's a pond on the property over at my old place. Plenty deep enough & somewhat secluded so you wouldn't have a problem with looky-loos. Would need a little work to get a boat down to it though. May may a point of doing that sometime this summer, my trailer really needs some work.

build a cradle? and pull the boat backwards on to it then winch it uo and on back to the trailer?

My pond is out in the front of the pasture , so people driving by on the road could see . But there is only one property past mine before the road dead ends , so not alot of traffic. I want to do some work on my pond that I should have done last summer during the drought , if I haul out machines to do that I will probably go ahead and pour a few yards of concrete to make a ramp when I do .

There are pics over on Performance Boats of a guy in his back yard pond running his v-drive , wide open  :smile26: Now that would be nice . Go home from work and make a few passes in the boat before dinner  jump.gif

This is what I did to the cabin of mine. Not that hard to put in A/C. I even added an on board gen so you didn't "have to have" shorepower.

Thought about that, like a boat dolly? But imagine it have to be pretty stout to hold a fully rigged boat. Be so much nicer to just unload it & tie it off to the bank. Did that at Texana once, there is a ramp that sees very little traffic. Unloaded the boat, tied it to the pier while Carole & I replaced the trailer bunks & fender boards.

Just don't leave it sitting in the water for over one or two weeks tops. It plays hell on the paint.

LOL!! That was just the system for the cockpit, I had another system for the cabin. Sterios are like engines, no such thing as too much power!!!!

Need more info on your Baja, it had triples!?!?!  Sweet looking boat.

No, the one with triples was a 42 and belonged to customer. This is mine, it was a 29 with twin 502's and a wild paint job. LOL!!
