Yea I agree with ya. Between Jerry(vdrive video) and JJ and my determnation should hopefully get it all taken care of.Jerry has the exact same boat as me :smile15:vdrivenman said:on a flattie set up has as much to do with the boat taking a set and carrying the nose as power. i totally agree you have to have enough power to carry the nose of the boat first, but the right % gears and motor placement are key factors into a good running boat.
that's gonna run realllllly good man :smile15: you ready for another trailer project? , i got 1 that's hurting for a make over :smile17: i'm just can't bring myself to even start on that or pull the hull offa it :smile14:pro53 said:Well picked up my BBC blower motor this weekend. Will take it apart and go through it , the guy said it was running when pulled, must have been along time ago though. So far what I have discovered in the motor:
block# 3963512 4 bolt main 69-71 year
rectangular port heads# 3994026
Aries blower pistons
steel crank
blower hub
crane rollers
miildon gear drive
cam?(havent checked yet)
671 dyers street charger
2 650 holleys( will be running 750 dps)
nitrous plate system with solenoids and lines
Will most likely run the same blower cam Tom was running.
Well got a good start to a fast motor for the FLATTY :smile15:
IMPATIENT 1 said:keep it man, you'll get used to the boost fast and want more, trust, been there. i had plans for a 200hp shot on my blown 475 for last labor day but in june i had a oil pump failure take all my extra $$$ i had saved for the nitrous set-up.
most of the blown boats these days you may end up racing will have nitrous too :smile12:
:smile17: :smile23: just tellin him the truth, lots of blown boats run nitrous too these days.coolglastron said:IMPATIENT 1 said:keep it man, you'll get used to the boost fast and want more, trust, been there. i had plans for a 200hp shot on my blown 475 for last labor day but in june i had a oil pump failure take all my extra $$$ i had saved for the nitrous set-up.

:smile17: Peer pressure at it finest!!!!! :smile19:
:smile15: it'll damn sure cool the intake charge alot, make more power thataway too, so 100hp might end up yielding 150hp more :smile12: the mag shouldn't have any trouble lighting it up , just keep plug gap little cause cylinder pressure is gonna be high  don't wanna be blowing out the spark before it can ignite the fuel charge :smile12: 1 of my homies runs 30lbs+ of boost and a 350hp shot and he couldn't run a msd box due to that happening to him, put his ole mag back in and never had that trouble again.mag's have less voltage, but the current is what counts  kinda like home electricity, the high voltage may not kill ya, just knock ya silly, but a high current circuit will fry yo ass.pro53 said:A 100 shot wouldnt hurt anything :smile20:
