Personally don't give a fat rat's A$$ what peep's think about what brand engine is in my boat. If I had any running engine, cadillac, olds, pontiac, chevy, whatever, I'd prolly use it. Just so happens I have ford stuff, so that's what it gets.

Anyone wants to donate a good running chevy, bring it by, with some motor plates, I'll run it. whatever.gif

I bet if I dropped off a complete running 572 Hemi to Duane he would be running it in a heartbeat.

If I had a 572 Hemi ready to go I know the boat its going in and yes it is ready for it.  Oh and I am not talking about the CJ just for clarification.

Don't Ya'll have a cj to build, or a perm to do?

I think what Duane is trying to say is, please go trash your own threads.  Duane has always had very informative threads until, now.....

Well, spent some time saturday, got the pistons dismounted, crank cleaned and polished. Engine block on the stand, ready for a bath....ran into a brain fart...forgot the scat crank uses chebby rod bearings....I have plenty of ford bearings, but no standard 454 rod bearings, so project on hold for a few days. Don't want to start with the short block without everything in hand.

That being said, anyone have any bearings on hand? crazy.gif
