Nah, no guide needed, just trim it high & let' er fly....

Seriously though, Tim be the one to talk to about Altair, thats him & Trey & James stompin grounds. Jeff goes there quite a bit as well. I know there is kind of a "path" to follow to get to the sandbar where they hang out, but I can't never remember which way to go. I myself haven't had any problems.

I myself have parked one out there, but it wasn't a jet boat!!
That was the Queen Mary though!

What's a trim, all I have is a key you turn on, a button to push, and a pedal to MASH!  :smile26: Oh yeah, I got this round thing on the dash that kinda makes the boat wiggle.  :smile27:

Oh ya I forget your plates were fixed & not pedal activated. wassup with that

Yup, I have seen some others plant 'em out there, couple jets, v-drives, wakkers... Damn sure tear up some hardware if you get off in the wrong place....

All it takes is money.  :smile13:  I know a guy who will sell me the whole setup for a double pedal up/down, soon as I get a chance I will have it, and a BBC to keep up with the fords.  (notice the small f in fords)

I go as fast as I can, and kind of stay in the middle! So far so good! :smile16:

That weekend that people was hittin bottom & stuff, that was the time I drug Stuart back to the ramp. I never hit anything, far as I know Stu didn't either, lol... Run back right down the middle about 30 I guess...

Altair is the closest place I know, I've never been there and need a guide.  They do have a boat ramp in La Grange close to where 71 & 77 cross, but I haven't seen anything bigger than a jon boat put in there, there are some big sand bars in the middle of the river all around there.

There's another ramp on Business 71 in Columbus.  There's a lot of rocks just below the ramp.  Other than that, you can go upstream a good piece before it gets too shallow, unless the river is real low.  I prefer to go to Altair because it's deeper and there's no one there to complain about the noise and whatever else.  :smile30:  Jetboats at Altair can generally trim her high and let her fly.  Us prop driven boats need to pay a little closer attention.  :smile20:
