Yeah I actually did a little research this year on picking the date.  Got it between sdba race dates too. So might get a few more folks that would normally be racing or helping on race teams.

Prostock and lower was $50, they raced their prices on the upper level classes but I don't remember what it was. IF you removed the nitrous bottle you'd probably run Pro Stock

No Nitrous in the boat anymore .. But I run E-85 and I bet they will say that is ALT. fuel .. Can you run race fuel and be in that class? What is ALT Fuel ??

I need to run in the 70 mph class so I can keep up . with the GREEN ENGINE , I need all the help I can get ..

They need a class called Super Ski..  Stock looking boat with engine cover and thru transom exhaust, any mods you can stuff under the hood.

I'd still say Pro Stock because it is "pump gas". Even though E85 is not 100% gasoline it is available at the pump and contains about 15% regular unleaded gasoline. They bend/flex the rules for all kinds of crap trying to make it competitive and from what I've seen in NA I don't see any performance advantage in running E85 vs VP C-14 or something like that.

Now I also wouldn't go out and volunter that you run E85 either.

Face it if I have to race totally aftermarket big inch engines in Super Stock what's the big deal about E85 for fuel?

Right now the E-85 is 2.65 a gallon and C-114 is about 9.00 a gallon .. Plus I have a Dominator on it
.
The E-85 is good up to about 14 to 1 compression and it cheap .. 
I would just run it and tell them it is pump gas ..

540 Merlin 2 with dart pro 1 heads. .660 solid roller with rev kit. all studded and girdled. dart single plate for dominator, 1050 holly hp. thinkin about switching to alky cause the compression is up there. guess at 13:1?? The guy i bought it from was a member here on the boards a couple years ago out of Altus OK. He told me the motor was built in the DFW area. its all there.

You know dude, probably about 425 hp, nothing to wild

LMAO, yep and my poor ole deal makes about 190hp too.  Sounds like it should run pretty well if the boat is set up. I know the video you keep refering to shows a that has considerably less motor than you have.

What about converting your dominator to E85?

What about converting your dominator to E85?

Its just not that available around here. Closest place is Glenpool and thats about 30 miles north of my house. I work in Tulsa about 2 blocks from Gran Prix and I could just buy methanol by the drum and keep it at the house. Our buddy WildHair is switching his over to E85. Plus, I have a buddy that will swap me my dominator for his alky dominator. Just have to spring for the fuel system swap.

I'm going to get after getting the pump set up good this winter/spring. It was really sloppy last summer. Just seems like the more I dig the more I find wrong. We'll be there though this summer.

And my hull is pretty heavy, its definatly not a light layup. And its a little disheartening when Ervin Capps tells you that you'll never be fast.....LOL

Well I'm not that up on jetboats but for me weight hurts ET far worse than it does mph. I can give a 200lb passenger a ride and it'll be within 2mph of what it'll do with just me (per GPS). On the other extreme filling both saddle tanks will kill 2/10ths at the drags (I used to do that when I needed to slow it up).

I also believe you can fly a brick with enough thrust so why don't you lean on that 540 a little.  :grin:
