Aw c'mon now... Like I was tellin Greg earlier... I was goin through that box of RC stuff today & found an empty pack of AA batteries. On the label it said "Best if used by June 1998"... So my battery packs are at least the same age & some of them seem to still be takin a charge... I know thats gotta beat the age on yours by a country mile.

KONA77 said:it's all good.... i'm insured :smile28: but really don't really think anything is wrong with the reciever battery i was reading in the charger manual.... and the charger just timed out on it's safety timer.... now the transmitter batter on the other hand may need replacing...... i'll cycle it a few more times think.gif

KONA77 said:my battery charger has a feature called cycle, it discharges and recharges the battery, in order to bring it back to the peak charge of the battery, if the battery charges to 70% or better the battery is ok, if it charges to less than 70%, replace the battery...... :smile27:
Patchman said:I believe you are correct! Unless you can convince them it flew a long way on it's own. The old rule to batteries is that for every day they are discharged, they loose a certain percentage of their usuable life. So if it sits for months, it will not come back 100%.
