Might be a good time to go fishing.  think.gif
The way they are talking, mite be fishing on some of the roads around here. Glad we are on a hill! Altair will have plenty of cloudy water in it soon! :smile17:

It's been awhile since we've had any local runoff.  I'm certain the fish will be biting.  Fishing the river while its rising isn't easy.  It takes a lot of work moving lines up and down with the flood waters.  Not to mention all of the debris.  The potential is definitely there.

:smile19: I lost a oak tree with a 6" trunk diameter I planted about 4 years ago. Broke the tap root and some other deep roots.

A tornado hit the storage place where I store both boats. They won't let me on the property because the front office area was destroyed. From the road it looks like the CP storage space is OK, no damage. The Baja space, I can see the door is pushed in some and the roof tin may be peeled back a bit. Not sure on that. It may be the space next to mine. I'll go back around 6 or 7  tonight.

The CP is behind the second set of doors after the gap. The Baja is in the same stall but backs up to the CP. The front office area is destroyed.

So far we have had 26" of rain. I've been in this house 40 years and last night the water got as close to coming in as it ever has. Luckily, the rain let up and the water drained off.

My boat storage has "several feet of water" over the entire complex.

I10 both directions is closed just east of Katy proper.

They are calling this a 1000 year flood event.

Somerville is 10' over full pool. The dam is closed and Mike says in a couple of days it will probably be over the spillway.

Hope all my Harvey affected brethren are doing as well as can be expected. 25 inches here in spring. We live on a gully that has somehow held up and still draining. Lived in Houston my whole life and never seen anything like this.

We have power and water again, if anyone needs a place to stay, store something or just a temporary "base" while restocking supplies, we have 2 extra bedrooms. Just lemme know.

Hope everyone makes it through safely and doing ok.

Same here. We're out of the woods at my house. If anyone needs anything we live in spring and have a whole 2nd story not being used.
