TX-19's kick A$$, but they are everywhere....(porbably cause they work)...dare to be different!

That one Reason I like V-Drive , you don"t see them every where , But they suck in the rough water unless it a Day Cruiser V-Drive , Like Rocky's

Honestly, if I was ever going to get a different boat, I'd get a Rogers.... Classic lines, decent interior room, good handling, & can run some serious numbers (if you're into that sort of thing).... I rode in Richard's Youngblood, it hauled ass & handled the chop pretty well, I liked it. But, being they are a popular hull, they are all over the place.... I like having something different.

Alright so picklefork hydro's = death?

In honesty I have never driven a hydro. I have driven a picklefork tunnel and liked it. Any information someone can provide to me on how the hydro drives, or handles would be appreciated.

Honestly I don't care GREATLY about speed at this point. I just want a cool lookin, good runnin boat.

Now I know Hyrdo Jets are not really the best boats to build for fast boats but how do they take the water? I ain't looking to have something that is not going to be any fun to drive cause it hates rough or even semi rough water. What do you guys suggest? Thanks

Stay away from Hydros and Flat Bottom( runner bottoms) V-Drives , They do not like rough water . They sink pretty easy also .

I would go with the Tunnel Hull Jet , they are fast and ride decent and you don't see them everywhere .

hahaha!

So with a hydro you need smooth, like smooth as glass water? Do hydro crash easy?

Boats in my area are not easy to come by. Anyone know anything about shipping boats? How much it cost, etc..?

Well I honestly was just going off of what style boat I like. I will mainly be using the boat in the river, which is not always nice. I want something I can go fast in, even if the water is a little rough.

Stay away from vdrives if you're in a river that tends to have very many under water obstructions.  :smile12:

Obstructions like drift wood I take it? Cause the river here is deep...they can't even find the bottom in some spots...

Ok guys you have filled this new member with all kinds of advice. Take your time and the best thing to do is come to one of our events , even if it takes you some time to get their, and ride in some of the different kinds of boats. I am like you, I liked the looks of the picklefork, never rode in one just liked the looks. I had a vhull Taylor for many years, it was ok just a little rough when the water got choppy. You need to do like Todd "The General " did before he got his boat, show up at an event and go for some rides. The first big event with enough choice rides will be at HYDROFEST in April. I will tell you now if you show up and just let people know you are a new member and want to check out some boats  and ask for some rides , you won't be regret it. Go slow, take your time, get some rides, for you are spending your money for what will make you happy. Bill"cookieman"

I would honestly love to do that, but I live in Kentucky. Where is this Hydrofest at? Texas I assume?

yes in Texas, but we don't mind if you come down here. Take your time, show up at your favorite lake or river where you may have seen some jetboats and just start asking questions. You may even ask about getting a ride in one . I am like my picklefork for the same reason you do, the looks. i have also seen many other boats I would have just because of the looks. It's your money so take your time , get what will make you happy.
