I have a 19 Liberator picklefork jetboat with a blown 454. I have a pic in the signature block of the boat. if you look at the pic at the end of the page that is in the air that is a picklefork. You will notice that it has 2 tunnels under the boat. The tunnels help lift the boat out of the water a higher speeds so that the air goes under the boat. I like the ride I get out of mine, other than the fact that it is a little heavy in the butt because of the motor. stick with us and you will learn all you want from guys on the site. Ask all the questions you wnat for that is what we are all about. Enjoy the site. Bill"cookieman"

I almost had to move to Ky here is a link with some hot boaters in your area that can help you also. They do have a forum but I dont think they are as active as us.

Good luck finding your ride, if i see any thing i will pass it on.

Have you looked at dragboatcity.com or dragboats.com?  Sometimes they're a little pricey but, a deal will go through them every once in awhile.  :smile12:

I have a 1980 Southwind Tunnel Dragster that I'm considering letting go. 468 studded 4-bolt main BBC with 11.25 forged pistons, square port heads with stainless 2.19 intake 1.88 exhaust valves, Comp Cams 1.8 roller rockers, Jomar stud girdle, two Holley 660 center squirters, Dominator pump with hardened race shaft, new paint, new interior, new gauges, new wiring, new Everything!! Nothing left untouched. Everything has either been replaced with stainless hardware or powdercoated. Bottom of hull has been Speedcoated. Only ran one season since completion. Paint scheme is my own design (reverse scallop) so you won't find a duplicate out there. Really, really hate to part with this boat but I need something that will handle Lake Texoma waves. If I lived near a smaller lake or river, this wouldn't even be an option.

Welcome to THB.. Sounds like you are getting some good advise already. You should be able to find a nice boat for your budget and do not worry about the location of it. I bought my 79 Sanger off of ebay and it was located in Reading CA. That is in northern CA almost to OR. I used a web site called I-Ship and it works like ebay you post what you have where it is and where it is going and sit back at wait for the bids to come in. They get cheaper as time goes by. I had the boat delivered for 1,600 and at that time fuel was about double what it is now. I figured it would have cost me 1,300 to get it myself plus 4-5 days in the truck.
Good Luck with your search  :smile11:
