Yeah, the group right there at the 1:57 mark. They called the cops on us...

That explains it. That video was taken on August 8 and we were in Georgia that weekend. The following weekend is when I heard the stories about those pricks that called the law. That's why I don't remember Brian and Chad with those cops.

So back on Topic.  How many boats are typically in the "BASICALLY STOCK" class at Ft Cobb?

I think there was 8 in the basically stock v-hull and about 10 in basically stock tunnel hull.

Would they notice if I painted my aluminum heads Ford blue?? That's what is going to keep me out of the basically stock class. The heads. That's why they need an SS class..... Super Ski.. Anything is good if it fits under the hood.

They let a guy run in stock tunnel with one of those GM 502hp 502s and they have aluminum heads and a hydraulic roller.

Are there timing lights there or is it one of the those "the guy on the pontoon drops the rag" and you go kind of things?

I guess he could make an arguement that those heads and cam are stock for that motor, but there is no way that motor is stock for that boat.. LOL

Yeah, but the thingy said stock heads and no roller valve trains. sounds like they'll just be happy to get more boats racing as long as someone is not totally dominating a class.

lol, any 4150series passes so an 850 will be fine. A dominator is the only thing they care about.

Mike, We get about 20 of these to mark a 1,000 foot course.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/Water-Ski-Wakeboard-Tow-Rope-Waterski-Marker-Buoy-9-/310280800826?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483e2d4a3a

and three of these to mark the finish line.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/Pocket-Buoy-DIVER-BELOW-Flag-Pole-Banner-/170535192346?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b4b0871a

put a pontoon at the starting line and get an ambulance hired and a couple of divers on a rescue boat and NTJBC holds a real event!!

We'll run buoys down the left and right also, not just down the middle. We make it look pro here in North Texas.. LOL

Blaze, we used tether balls at boat bash a couple of years ago. they already have the eyelet on them. I think we had 8 total to mark off 1000' worked good and cheap.

I've also seen those giant rubber balls that you can buy at wally world used.

I talked to my buddy Wayne from OKC last night a little about it and he said that the other racers do look at your stuff and they will contest your set up. But he also said they put you where they think you will be competitive.

He also said that everybody thinks that everybody else is sandbagging. LOL

Loren!!!!!! just sayin

Lets just say if I had Larry (Chop's) motor or some of the others my flat would be a terror. In reality I think it sucks that they allow 800hp plus all aftermarket engines to run with stock based stuff that may make 620hp. Remember my boat weighs over 1900lbs without me in it so it's not some potato chip race hull. I think they need to set something up like the Blarmey Island deal to be more fair. However it's only $50 and kinda fun so what the hell. Just watch if I ever get aluminum heads and a roller cam they'll make me move up to super stock.

LOL, I've considered borrowing a motor before but I'd feel bad if something happened so I've never done that. But if some people knew how mild my engine is I think they'd be a little suprised after seeing it run.
