I have a feeling you'll do some beating this year buddy  :smile17:

i really dont think mines going to be that fast, i feel i'd be real lucky if i can see 75-80 in it...........
we have almost the same sleds and mills you should have no problem being north of 80 if set up good and have a nice tight pump.

Sometimes those with the least, run the best! It's all about the combination! think.gif

I agree the combination is the key.
Oh 10-4 on that!!! AND what you decide you really want to do with your boat is key. Like Blaze said earlier about going to the lake and riding around all day, thats great, probably not going to win a bunch of races, but if family fun and realiabilty and drivabilty is what you want then winning races isnt that big a deal.

Ya but wake boarding was never my intent, just a bad habit my boy and his girlfriend picked up. lol

We should have swapped pumps from your old one to your new one.

i thought about that but this pump was set up by MPD, it's supposed to have tight clearances and only 4 passes on it according to previous owner

How does that jet hydro run? I have always been in love with the way they look and almost bought a hondo jet hydro.  But hear they are hard to get em fast. Kind of a contradiction in terms ya know? What's your set up?

Jet hydro and fast are definitely a contradiction  :smile26:............ ask Steve (jethydro) on PB how much power he was throwing at his just to run SE, blew it up trying to run ME and was blown alcohol 454 with a Dart block. It'll take some good power to make one run out compared to a TX-19.

I have a buddy with an Infinity jet hydro. Not your typical hydro, its like a v-bottom with sponsons graphed on it. Yeah not super fast but runs well.  I just think they look cool. And you can pick em up pretty cheap with good parts in em.  Be a cool boat for just hangin out and lookin cool.

The Hondo jet hydros are huge, these pictures may not show it but his boats main body is as wide as mine and then the sponsons stick out and its about 20' long.

First off, I've been told for 20 years this hull doesn't work. OK.
It was my first jetboat, and I loved it!

mine is a sanger jet hydro, and I have no idea how fast it will be now. After owning 2 v-drives that were pretty fast, I am sure it'll be a let down. (one of the reasons it's not running yet)
on the other hand, with water-soaked foam in the floors, and a 429 flat tappet, it would run in the low 80's, and was very stable.
I love the looks, and am waiting for the results.....maybe around April.
I do know of an exact copy of my boat that was run in the ME class and did well. Boat was named "High Risk"
It was a blown bbc, though. :smile29: Harbormaster for the CC Channel.
