I got an idea for all who want to bracket race.  It will cost around $1000 total to race all said and done. I can save you money. Give me $200 dollars I will race you, you will win I will have my wife take pictures.  I will buy a trophy for you. You can brag to your friends with pic's and hardware.  You will save money I will make money and this will help pay for my projec clap.gift this winter.  Everyone wins!
jump.gif  that is a good deal. one small sugestion tho......... when taking the pic.have a couple
good looking women standing around the recipiant as you hand them the trophy. that way all there friend's will be thinking hey's the man. cant hurt.  jump.gif  clap.gif  clap.gif

All noted but I will have to move my price from $200 to $250. Plus the bigger their boobs the more it will cost!

parachute PARACHUTE!!!

You won't be popular with the guy on the starting barge or the other people on the holding rope waiting their turn.  You probably should keep on going.

This is just for our make believe race that will save us tons of money over the grand dumped at a real race.. My parachute pack will be filled with dry ice and a six cold ones and have a  label reading "For emergency use only".

Here you go man... A jet boat parachute, for nothing more than cool points. Just don't let that nail fall out!

I think if you guys are wanting to get the race experience without going broke doing it....try the Ft. Cobb race in OK. I think is $50 to enter and they classes are broken down by whats in your motor and what hull you have. Its straight up cove racing. Rolling start so theres no rope. I'm thinking about doing it this year if i can get my heap running. Lots of my buddies do it from the OKC area. Plus theres some fairly rowdy boats there to watch. you can check it out on YOUTUBE just type in Ft. Cobb

I have a sheet with all the classes on it at the house, I'll try to remember to bring it to work with me and scan it in so you guys can take a look at it.

We could probably do something like this at Lavon.

I have it at work if you can't find your copy, don't have it on this computer or I'd post it.

Oh, ok.. So for a bracket guy like me or Matt that are going to make passes and probably do no work between rounds our "race crew" would be a guy to move the truck from ramp to ramp, then park it in the NTJBC pits.

Someone to video your run can give you good information too. I like a tow driver a video person and someone to help load and unload if I can get 3 helpers. I do my own tuning and set up (that's why the video helps).

When my boat gets reassembled and gets back in the water in March, it will get tuned with a couple of passes and that's it. Mine's a cruiser, not a race boat. My race tuning would include setting my hydraulic diverter in a straight line, then unplugging it so it can't move.. LOL

Bracket racing is about running the same ET time after time. Tuning after your dial just get you broken out.

Anyway, at a grand a race, I doubt I'll be doing it. I'll stick with racing the locals at Lavon where the winner gets to pull a beer out of loser's cooler, or something along that line.. TLA's BABY!!
