Guys I didnt make it out to the shop last night to get the paper work for Ft. Cobb, its just to damn cold to do anything.

I like Blazeracer's post about diggin in the losers ice chest, thats good stuff right there. Trophies are nice,but hittin em where it hurts (the beer chest) is priceless....lol

What class did you run in Loren?

I've looked at this before and I'm 100% sure where Iwould fit in, somewhere between super stock and modified. I've got a little of all 3 classes going on.

of course I'm calling you out! but not for me....for Don. I told him last night that he takes a beating so often that he needs some redemption, and what better way then to jump on that eliminator.

Loren , what the cost ?? .. i think I would fit in in the Modified bracket .. I think this is about 4 hours from home for me .. Might make it one of these years .. Don;t think I will  make this year , too much money being spent on the new engine ..

So does "NO ROLLER  VALVE TRAIN" mean complete roller valve train (IE Cam and rockers) or does it mean no part of the valve train can be roller?  I have roller rockers and an 850 Holley but a hydraulic flat tappet cam.  Guess that would bump me out of "BASICALLY STOCK" and put me in "SUPER STOCK" where I have no chance of competing.  James' 850 and aluminum heads would do the same to him.  Hmm.  Maybe I need to round up some stock rockers and an 800 carb.  think.gif

Is that the one in Smoke Stogie? (However you say it)  We bought the cruiser just for events like that.  I think we may make it this year.  No guarantees though.  Gotta get it finished first.

Let's put it this way there's som e"Good Ole Boy" stuff going on so those rules are not set in stone. In 07 I tried to run basically stock with my single 4bbl but they would let me because mines a flatty.

Last year I ran super stock again which I leave a lot on the table, no roller cam, no aluminum heads and not near the cid of several. IMO superstock should require a production block and not allow total aftermarket engines.

Anyway if you look at it as a $50 race and a chance to hang out with friends it's a good deal if you don't take it too serious.

Prostock and lower was $50, they raced their prices on the upper level classes but I don't remember what it was. IF you removed the nitrous bottle you'd probably run Pro Stock

No not there keep your mouth shut about the rockers and run basically stock.

The dominator will bump you at least to super stock

and I'm sure the Merlin on the block will bump me up to pro stock.

I know for a fact that the guy in the purple and yellow cheyanne runs 114 mph on the spray. And I'm way off that. But it would still be fun to get the tee shirt.

Is there a tech inspection or is it all done by the racers to keep each other honest?
