Jetavator vs. Place Diverter

Maybe I got them backwards ?  crazy.gif

Shiat man, I had to go back & look a couple times, lol... I think the first bacth of of pics you posted was Jet-O-vater stuff but that control handle is for a Place diverter. I have heard of folks converting the Jet-O-Vator to a manual control when any of that other hardware Simply Orange mentioned went bad or was incomplete.

The second batch of pics is Place diverter stuff. If you were gonna try & round up the missing pieces, I would do as Scott mentioned & get with Tom at JBP to see what he may have used. Those pics you have should be enough for him to know what you need to complete your diverter.

Or find one used, new ones are pretty pricey. They do come up now & then.... ebay, craigslist, etc...

*edit* I went & looked again, the first batch of pics is jet-o-vator stuff, with a Place manual controller thrown into the mix. You can tell by the pin locations as to it steering after the tilt as opposed to Place design of steering before the tilt.

Yeah , kinda confusing huh ? I have looked at a million pics and still don't have it all figured out . I am not sure about ordering parts for the stuff I have , might not be worth it . I will try to send Tom a message and see what it would cost to get some parts from him

Yep...these parts look like the old style place diverter...looks like the reverse bucket, and both arms are missing. that style creates a lil drag because of the reverse nozzle hangs down. think.gif

I do have the reverse bucket for the Place parts , but none of the arms .
i'm guessin but i think Tom charged me around $35-$40 for each arm...do you have all the pins that hold it together?

Here it is. If I am wrong so are all the people that have called it a Jet-O-Vator!

That's a Jet-O-Vator. The up/down pivot is in front of the left right pivot. From what I've read that's the easiest way to tell the difference.

Look again.  That is an old Place diverter.  Steering is in front of the trim.

no, I have a few of the pins , but I will need more pins and set screws to make it work .

When I was in ET the other day he had a bunch of pins.  Figure out how many you need and I can go by and see what he wants for them.

Thanks , I will let you know . I am going to send a few pics of this stuff to Tom at JBP and see what the arms will cost me . Might just find a used divertor if it costs too much .

Just a sudgestion, find a machine shop and have Bronze bushings made to replace the plastic ones, I am fixin to make my own, the plastick ones dont seam to hold up/sloppy. Joey just put them in all new before I bought the Boat and they need replacing already.

not sure i would go that route,  three unlike metals,  in a water enviroment,  but try it and let us know how it does down the road in a few years  think.gif
