James, those RC's will be fun for use at Broken Bow in the mornings or late at night while we're all sitting around the "Built Ford Tough" campfire in the evenings. I picked up an awesome 4 amp charger the other day for $10.....stole it.

Yeah,  a quick charger and a couple of spare batteries would be good to have.. Looking at some Associated SC10's also.

Just showed the Ebay one's to Edward.. He'll be just as happy with a $100 used one as he will with a $250 new one.. So I can get TWO and some parts..

for aluminum upgrades for traxxas an hp I've always used this guys stuff http://www.rdracingproducts.com/ good looking stuff that fits right only problem I ever noticed was sometimes the anodize color didn't quite match but you can put some serious  bling.gif on the stampede for not too much  :smile13: the Nitro Stampede has more listed and those parts like A arms, casters, blocks, shock towers and stuff will interchange (least they do on the rustler) but he could say for sure.

I could put dual batts and twin 540's on this ....

twin540.jpg

that'd be nice

Are most of the suspension parts interchangable between the electric and nitro cars? Most of the parts listed are for nitro. How about the upper and lower chassis pieces? I'm thinking the chassis will not be interchangable.. But I have never had one, so........

As far as I am aware, on most Traxxas models, the suspension and drive train is the same all the way from the wheels to the diff and bulkheads for a given model.  IE The A-Arm for a T-MAXX and E-MAXX are the same.  The chassis is not interchangeable between electric and nitro.  I'm pretty sure it is the same way with most of the manufacturers not just Traxxas.

Good support from Traxxas. I called te main office here in Plano and talked to some kid. He said that we burned out the motor and he's sending me a new one free. Sweet!!

He asked me if I broke the car in properly. I told him I didn't see anything in te instruction manual about breaking it in. It's an electric motor for cryin' out loud. I guess I've heard it all. Lol.

Told ya Traxxas warranty was good stuff. Good to hear they still coverin stuff like that. :smile16:

Dude, you say that about breakin in an electric motor, when I was tryin to find info about some of my old ones, I ran across a thread on a site where guys racing these things would take a new motor, hook it straight up to a battery, & drop it in a glass of water while it was running?! :smile26:

I don't know exactly what that was supposed to do to 'em, but generally water & electronics is not a good mix, lol... But there was several of 'em talkin about it....

Okay, my background in electronics tells me that's a big no no!!

Exactly! But I'm tellin ya, I read it plain as day, several differnt people were talkin about the benefits of it. I myself can't hardly see what good it could do. I'll see if I can dig up that stuff again, if I do I'll snag a link so you can see what they was sayin.. crazy.gif

ok, just scammed some secrets...I found out that's why my little electric car seems to impress everyone.... crazy.gif

It IS a water breakin....you power up the damn thing with 3.6 volts, with long leads, and drop it in water. for 20 frickin' minutes. This is only, however, for those who want the ultimate output from the motors...not normal breakin...
the hand-soap thing I wasn't supposed to tell anyone about..lol :smile30:

the motor needs to be dryed with brakleen, and the end bushings re-lubed after the "break-in"

Take it for what it is, this is from old-school, hard-core r/c guys.
