So does that mean you have a nitro truck Matt? I like the idea that my 8 year old can drive it not destroy. The Slash's are pretty much bash-mobiles. The guys at Mike's are beating the crap out the Slashes.

One thing cool about the ESC that comes with the brushless motor. There is button that will only let it run at half speed.. so Edward will ONLY be able to get it up to 30.. LOL

No, I have several. :smile30:
My RS4 road car is on the bottom shelf.  You can't see it in that pic.

My old neighbor had a bunch of those cones.  We made drift tires out of PVC for the RS4.  It was pretty fun.

Allright fellas, as promised here's the YouTube video of us breaking in Jacobs motor in distilled water. Lol, we were a little retarded as you'll soon see.

That was funny as shit... in a good way though. That thing turned loose like a rabid weasel.

So what you do next, dry it out, install, run?

Okay we installed to motor and adjusted the clutch properly and it ran just as well as it did before with no noticeable improvement in performance. We can only hope for the motor to last longer than the first one did.

We are stoked we have the RC running again!! Broken bow is gonna rock!!

Went by Indy RC World to check it out, that place is gigantic. Unfortunately it was closed due to the weather. Looks like a good sized hobby shop with all the basic parts one will break at the track.

Not as big as Mike's but still pretty big. The building is an old bowling alley.  The hobby shop is pretty well stocked.

LOL  The google street view is pretty funny.  All the "Day labor" standing around. Especially if you pan left just a little.

That's where my wife goes to get extra help when we have a good sized stack of fidges that need to be washed.

I looked through the window and saw the Traxxas boxes stacked up inside. Had I gone there last week I may have gotten a new Slash when my trigger finger was itchin... I think we did better with the used on off of Ebay. For less than the price of a new brushed motor regular radio truck we got a VXL loaded with a 2.4 gig radio and a LiPo battery.

Sounds like you got a good deal James.  You electric guys are funny.  I am surprised there are no nitro guys in here bustin your balls.

On another note, I'll try to find where the NRCDA 10th scale drag guys are racing this summer (If they are still around).  That is some crazy stuff right there.  0 to 80+ actual MPH in a scale 1/4 mile.  In scale MPH that would be 800+ MPH.  The electric guys kill on the 1/4 mile stuff.  They can drain a battery in one pass.

I was thinking about this earlier this morning.. In a 1/10 scale.. 1/10th of a 1/4 mile is 132 feet... 1/10 the speed of a 200 mph pass would be 20 mph... 1/10 the wieght of a 2,500 lb race car is..... 250 POUNDS... I think the power to weight is in favor of R/C cars..

Soooo, to be truly scaled, you would have to get a 250lb R/C car to go 20mph in 132 feet... LOL.. I don't think you could make a 1/10 scale car weigh 250 lbs.. hahaha...

I saw a YouTube vid yesterday on an electric R/C drag car, it was pretty damn fast.........
