Pretty cool.  I heard the chickens in the back.  I guarantee you those rednecks are into "other" types of competition as well.

We finally got to check out some racing at Indy RC World. Friday night they had ova dirt track racing and Saturday night they had off road track racing. Here I thought my Traxxis Slash would be this bad-a$$ R/C car and at a place like that the short course trucks are the SLOW class.

What was surprising is that in the open classes on both tracks electric and nitro cars reun together. On the dirt track the electrics ruled, but on off road course the nitro cars dominated. From what I can tell the difference was in acceleration. On the oval track the cars never come to a stop so the electric cars can keep the motor spun up with a good driver. On the off road track they spin out and get sideways frequently, then the gas motors can ditch the electrics. That was my observation anyway.

It was pretty awesome. Edward preferred the oval track for him to race. I'll enter him in a couple of weeks after he gets a little practice with the car. Those little sprint cars definitely hauled a$$.. Having gone to both Mike's and Indy, I'd have to say that Indy is the better race facility of the two. Don't get me wrong, Mike's is a good place to have fun too and practice days are free there.

Cool.  Little different than Mike's.  I like Indy better actually.  I think it's mainly because they run nitro indoors.  There is a lot of experience in that building.

One thing I noticed, at Mike's the short course trucks are king, at least on the indoor track. At Indy, short course trucks are the slow class. Indy is way cool. I like it better too.
