I already have a water to oil cooler that goes inline from the pump's water line.  It should go something like this... The jar of flake is simulating the oil filter and the blue masking tape the relocated filter mount. All are mounted to a plate that's bent at a 90 and bolted to the two lower bell housing bolts.

EDIT: On the TD kit the oil lines come in from the top, but you get the idea. The Glastron had something similar when I got that worked great. I took it off when I rebuilt the motor. That one will be going back on the 460 when it goes into the Enforcer.

I think I have the part that spins on the block already.  I'll go out to the shop and check in a bit.  If I do you can have it.  Then all you need is the filter mount and lines.  You could go to hose fast and gets nicer lines made to the correct length for probably less money.

Ok , I have seen guys use big block valve covers instead of putting engine covers on the LS motors , but have not seen where to buy a bracket to make it work . Does anyone know where to get them , or do I have to build them from scratch ?

Never seen anyone use actual BBC valve covers but I have seen people use the Holley covers that are designed to look like BBC valve covers.

Those look like shit , I have something better planned . If I have to I will build some brackets , but I was hoping for something off the shelf .

You got a link ? It probably isnt what I want , but I would like to see . The thing is , I am far too lazy to keep aluminum polished . I have given away tons of polished aluminum parts because I was too lazy to keep up with polishing .

No , I dont think you understand what I mean . I am going to use the stock valve covers and coil mounts , and I am going to put a big block valve cover over that to hide the coil packs and wiring .

The Edelbrock pieces he linked are exactly that.

I didn't look at the Edelbrock ones that he linked , but that is closer to what I want to do . What I really want is to be able to use a valve cover like these ones that have nothing on them . I don't really see why Edelbrock needs to have thier logos on my motor , unless they want to pay me sponsor money  :smile30:

Also , the Edelbrock ones look like they are made to use the huge extension from the truck motor for the oil fill . I either want to have the oil fill under the new cover , or modify the extension so it fits like it is supposed to on a real engine . If I leave it under the oil fill I will just have clean covers with no holes at all in them  That should keep people guessing

I wonder if someone sells just the flange for fabricated valve covers ? That would make it a piece of cake to build something .  think.gif

Valve cover spacers would be exactly what the flange is.

Yeah , that's exactly what I should use  jump.gif That way I can just make some little pieces of stainless to go up to where they will bolt onto the stock valve covers and weld them together  :smile30:

Actually , looking at the spacers on ebay , they all seem to be an inch or more in thickness . I need something about a quarter inch thick for what I want to do . I might just keep an eye out for some junk valve covers and cut the flange part off of them . I could even use the stamped tin ones like the factory valve covers and it would work .
